Airporthotel, Schönefeld Airport

On the grounds of Berlin's Schönefeld Airport we are developing the “InterCityHotel” - a 3-star hotel with a gross lettable area of 8,500 m² offering more than 200 rooms as well as a modern conferencing and wellness area. The property is leased for a 20 year lease term to InterCityHotel GmbH, a fully owned subsidiary of the well-established Steigenberger Hotels AG. Thanks to its location at the German capital's new airport Berlin-Brandenburg, which is poised to handle the region's entire future air traffic, the Airporthotel provides attractive location benefits. The number of passengers the airport will handle is forecast to reach 22 million annually.

Within the framework of a forward sale, IVG Development has sold the Airporthotel in April 2008.
