The community of Amstelveen is part of the greater Amsterdam metropolitan area, and is thus located one of the most important conurbations in the Netherlands. Given its proximity of Schiphol, Europe's fourth-largest airport, and to Zuidas, Amsterdam's new financial hub, Amstelveen is a sought office location.
The “Office Center Amstelveen” complex consists of a total of six building sections slated for completion between October 2009 and February 2010. Striking about the architecturally ambitious and aesthetically appealing character of the building complex are the central indoor patios that extend vertically from ground to roof level. Moreover, the complex is powerfully accentuated by the ashlar cladding on the staircase facades.
The gross lettable area totals 57,572 sqm plus 1,698 car parking spaces. The office scheme is fully occupied, let to a renowned international auditing and consulting firm on 10- or 15-year terms, depending on the building section.
The “IVG EuroSelect 17 – Amstelveen” closed-end real estate fund for private investors has invested in three of the property's building sections. It was fully placed with 99.5 million Euros in equity in November 2009. The other three office sections were acquired by three institutional funds, and are also managed by IVG.
