New office building for the Hermes Logistics Group in the IVG business park Hamburg-Nord
On behalf of IVG Investment, IVG Development Hamburg is developing a new office building for the Hermes Logistics Group in the IVG Businesspark Hamburg-Nord.
Hermes Logistics, Germany's largest services provider for logistics and independent of the German post office, has been in the IVG Businesspark since 1996 and is in acute need of an extension. The new office building will offer around 9,000 m² of additional space spread over five floors, accommodating the European Head Offices for the Hermes Group. Besides the new office building, IVG Development Hamburg will also provide parking facilities with 350 spaces; this will be open to all business in the IVG Businesspark.
The new building will be situated next to the current Hermes headquarters; the two buildings will be connected with each other on every floor.
The IVG Businesspark Hamburg-Nord is a purpose-built location for industry and companies in the service sector, having good traffic links to the A7 and A23 motorways, as well as to public transport.
Construction work is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2008 and should be complete in the first quarter of 2010.
