Continuing vocational training
As a successful company in an attractive market, we also have a social responsibility to train the next generation. We therefore continue to support this philosophy by offering young adults opportunities to start a professional career with IVG. This year we also intend to take on vocational trainees for various occupations.
Trainee programme important pillar of employee development
The trainee programme which we introduced in 2003 is now firmly established as an essential part of internal development of next-generation managers. Over the past six years, about 35 graduates have completed our trainee programme and almost all now have high-responsibility jobs in different areas of the Group.
In view of the evident success of the programme, it will be continued this year.
The trainee programme concept is as follows. We select the trainees very carefully, via an assessment centre specially designed to meet IVG's requirements. During the process, candidates are assessed by company managers who have the most direct knowledge of the Group's needs. The programme itself allows our trainees to get to know four departments over the course of a year. They also complete a two-month placement in one of our European branches.
