Corporate Governance

Code requirements and recommendations met in full
Corporate governance refers to the entire system by which a company is managed and monitored, its corporate principles and guidelines, and the system of internal and external controls and supervision over the company’s operations. Good, transparent corporate governance ensures that our company will be managed and monitored in a responsible manner geared to value creation. This fosters the confidence of investors, business associates and the general public in IVG’s management and supervision.

We believe that good corporate governance is an important prerequisite for a successful, capital market-oriented company. It helps secure the company‘s assets, retain enterprise value and supports a healthy share price.

On 12 November 2009, we issued a Declaration of Compliance pursuant to § 161 of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG) regarding the recommendations of the German Corporate Governance Code. The full version can be seen below as well as on our website. In addition to the current Declaration of Compliance, past versions are also available on the IVG website. We comply with all recommendations of the German Corporate Governance Code, which was last amended on 18 June 2009. We also follow the recommendations and principles promulgated by the Initiative Corporate Governance (ICG) of the German property industry.
